New Release from Pardon the Mess!

I'm so excited about this kit!  We've gone to the Science Museum a few times, and this kit is just perfect for it.  I also cannot wait for fall when we are doing science experiments again - I'll use this fun kit to scrap them!  The kit is called Super Conductor, here's a preview:

It is super fun, bold, and bright, and it has glittery elements, which I LOVE.  Here are 2 LOs I have done so far using the kit.  These are some pics from our trip to the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Tutorial: How to Create and use Actions in Photoshop

Hi everyone!!  I made up this tutorial to show you how to create and use actions in Photoshop.  I don't use a lot of different actions, but I do have a few that I've created, and my most used action by far is my resize, sharpen for web action which I use to prepare my digiscrapping pages for the web.  It is super helpful and saves a lot of steps every time you scrap.  So if you are unfamiliar with actions or do not know how to create your own action, check out my tutorial here.  The tutorial covers exactly how I made my resize, sharpen for web action as well.  There are also lots of actions available online you can use for sharpening, resizing, and just photo editing in general that you'll be able to use once you understand the simple actions panel.  I do use Photoshop CS5, so if you are using another version, I'm not sure if there are any changes.  Please let me know in the comments section  if you try it with a different program successfully.  I hope it is helpful!

Heat Wave by Pardon the Mess

I've been looking through a lot of my old pictures - literally thousands of them - and trying to figure out how in the world I'm going to get them all scrapped!!  While digging, I found some pics of my kids 5 years ago swimming in the backyard that I just love, so I had to scrap them right away.  I chose Heat Wave by Pardon the Mess - it is such a bright, fun, and super summery kit that's perfect for these pics!!  You can find it at Scrapable.

I just love it!!  And I had to get the bundle because I'm totally obsessed with glitter styles!  Can't wait to scrap more with this fun kit :)

Far Away by Pardon the Mess

Sara at Pardon the Mess just released a new kit yesterday - Far Away.  It's a beautiful kit, and it is all about long distance relationships or friendships, and staying in touch.  It makes me think a lot about a couple of friends that I had in elementary, middle school, and high school that I really miss.  The colors here are gorgeous and would easily work for either gender.  Here's a preview:

State Fair Coming Up!!

In my family, the Iowa State Fair is a must-go event!!  We are so excited for this year since we didn't make it there last year!  I'm even more excited, because the kids and I are entering some various competitions this year.  I've got a couple of photos so far that I know I'm entering.  Here they are:
