I'm back again with another great new release! I still don't have even a fraction of my camping photos edited and sorted through, so it may be a bit before I get them posted. I was so excited to see this kit, Sail Away, from Lacey Bittner, because it is a beautiful kit! The colors are great, and there are tons of beautiful elements and papers. Here's the preview! It just screams summer, and it goes so well with many themes.

It would be perfect with a cruise, a trip to the beach, or swimming, but it also worse great with hiking, camping, or just chillin outdoors photos! I used it for one of the first photos I took after we set up camp this past week:

For this layout, I also used Lacey's Fresh N Funky 2 templates, which I totally love. Be sure to check out the kit here :)

Hey everyone! Pardon the Mess has a super cute new kit out, Cooties! It's all about bugs, but one of the reasons I love it is that it is so very versatile! It is a great summer kit. I think it would also work great for baby pics because of the colors. Here it is:

I just got back on Sunday afternoon from a really fun camping trip, so I was a bit behind on my scrapbooking. And thanks to the 300 pics that I took on the mini-vacay, I am now even more behind, lol. This camping trip was our youngest son, Carter's, 1st camping trip! I decided to use Lacey Bittner's newest kit, Basic Patterns, to whip up a page for Carter. I also used her adorable Cute and Quirky templates for this page.
Here's the kit:

Super cute, right? I just love the colors, the cool scallops, and just the fact that it can be used for boy or girl easily! I can see myself using this set in many a page. here's the page I did:

Aren't they adorable! I love her templates because they are very unique and they usually have spots for multiple photos. I often find I have more than 1 shot that I want to include on a layout, and her temps are perfect for this!

It's been a few days since I've blogged - crazy! Today Lacey Bittner released an awesome new boy kit! I don't know about everyone, but, with 3 boys to scrap for, I'm always on the lookout for cool boy kits. This one sure doesn't disappoint! In fact, I enjoyed it so much I made a page for each of my boys with it. :)

Phew! That was a lot! The new kit is awesome, and so are those cool templates! I just love how they are so easy to change a layout around. You can easily use the same template and just rotate or change it up a bit to make a completely different layout multiple times :)

Fun at the Carnival!

When I started this blog, I intended that it would be a collection of everything I am and do - my kids, photography, sewing, soapmaking, and digiscrapping. As is very obvious, digiscrapping has taken over! Not only my blog, but my life as well, lol. I haven't sewn or soaped in over a month - all I want to do is scrap, and of course take more pics to scrap!

Anyway, yesterday we decided to go to the carnival. I don't know if it was such a grand idea being that it was 95 degrees, but it sure was fun! We were veryyyy hot though. I thought I'd share a few (okay, more than a few) snaps of the kids having a blast. These are definitely not great pics - it was far too bright, and I was obviously too concerned with just getting a quick snap than technically perfect shots :)

I'm so excited about this kit! We've gone to the Science Museum a few times, and this kit is just perfect for it. I also cannot wait for fall when we are doing science experiments again - I'll use this fun kit to scrap them! The kit is called Super Conductor, here's a preview:

It is super fun, bold, and bright, and it has glittery elements, which I LOVE. Here are 2 LOs I have done so far using the kit. These are some pics from our trip to the Science Museum of Minnesota.

Tutorial: How to Create and use Actions in Photoshop

Hi everyone!! I made up this tutorial to show you how to create and use actions in Photoshop. I don't use a lot of different actions, but I do have a few that I've created, and my most used action by far is my resize, sharpen for web action which I use to prepare my digiscrapping pages for the web. It is super helpful and saves a lot of steps every time you scrap. So if you are unfamiliar with actions or do not know how to create your own action, check out my tutorial here. The tutorial covers exactly how I made my resize, sharpen for web action as well. There are also lots of actions available online you can use for sharpening, resizing, and just photo editing in general that you'll be able to use once you understand the simple actions panel. I do use Photoshop CS5, so if you are using another version, I'm not sure if there are any changes. Please let me know in the comments section if you try it with a different program successfully. I hope it is helpful!

I've been looking through a lot of my old pictures - literally thousands of them - and trying to figure out how in the world I'm going to get them all scrapped!! While digging, I found some pics of my kids 5 years ago swimming in the backyard that I just love, so I had to scrap them right away. I chose Heat Wave by Pardon the Mess - it is such a bright, fun, and super summery kit that's perfect for these pics!! You can find it at Scrapable.

I've got some more fun layouts to share :) First up, a couple of pages I created using a beautiful kit, Spring it On, by Mye De Leon who is guesting over at Polka Dot Plum!! I have had so much fun with this kit, and I'm sure I'll use this one over and over, it's just so much fun to look at. :)

Well - since I've been doing a lot of scrapping, soapmaking, and photography lately, I figured I'd better really get a blog up and running to keep track of all my craziness! I'm so excited to share all the fun stuff I've been doing :)

I'm a Sugar Plum (CT) over at Polka Dot Plum, and I've been working on a lot of layouts from their goodies. I just love this shop! I also CT for Blue Heart Scraps at Brownie Scrap, and I've been working on a few of her kits as well! Here are a few I've done so far with her kit, Finding Joy:
